Make only one resolution: Don't make resolutions

New Year's resolutions are pointless.  No, I'm not saying change is bad.

Rather I'm saying, If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right now.

Don't wait for New Year's Day.  If it's a good idea, start now.
  • It's March 10.  You plan to start exercising?  Start March 10.
  • It's July 15.  You want to clean your house?  Start this Saturday.
  • It's October 3.  You want to change your demeanour?  Start immediately.
The only reasons not to start right away are procrastination and laziness.  You don't actually want to change, you're all talk and no action.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right now.

So go do it.  Stop waiting for a specific day when any day will do.
